STATE TEST PREPARATION PROGRAM
Bringing a different approach to student learning and comprehension, these specialized CAMPs are aligned to State Testing Content. This is done by using one-of-a-kind facilitation strategies, hands-on activities, content competitions, and going above and beyond traditional teaching complementing the work of teachers in the classroom. These CAMPs can be aligned to Senate Bill (SB) 4545.
A practical and reliable source for State Test Preparation
College 1st has proven success working with elementary and middle school students on their State Test Preparation. Students have recognized the College 1st Program as a practical and reliable resource for State Test Preparation. We work with school district administrators and principals to ensure all instructional activities are aligned with State and Local mandates and policies. The College 1st Program is customized to school district needs, focusing on reinforcing academic content areas and providing students with the knowledge, guidance, and tools for high school, college, and career success.

PREPARATION
Provide an above-and-beyond State Test preparation experience for selected students, incorporating academic enrichment activities & exciting core content competitions.

FACILITATION
Facilitate State Test preparation activities and content presentations using a variety of student learning styles including Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic (VARK).

COMPREHENSION
Improve the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) comprehension and retention in each subject content area to boost State Test preparation.
SCIENCE STATE TEST PREP CAMP VIDEO

SCIENCE
Scholars reinforce their Science State Test knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Scientific Investigation, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Space Exploration, Animal Biology, and Human Body Systems by participating in a series of hands-on activities, experiments, and content-oriented competitions.
Each academic enrichment activity is aligned with the Science STAAR Test Objectives. A session on best test-taking techniques is also included in each CAMP.

SOCIAL STUDIES
Scholars reinforce their State Social Studies Test knowledge in Colonial America, Revolutionary Era, Early Republic, Westward Expansion, Antebellum Era, Civil War, Slavery Compromises, and Social Studies Skills by participating in a series of hands-on activities and challenging competitions.
Each academic enrichment activity is aligned with the State Social Studies Test Objectives. A session on best test-taking techniques is included in this CAMP.
BIOLOGY STATE TEST PREP CAMP VIDEO

BIOLOGY
Scholars attending this CAMP will engage in activities that align with the Biology State Test TEKS and objectives. These activities will include academic content competitions, hands-on exercises, and opportunities to enhance their scientific skills. The Science CAMP will cover topics such as Cellular Biology, Classification & Reproduction, and Anatomy, making it an interactive experience for scholars. Additionally, scholars will learn about the importance of science in fast-growing STEM careers through a High School, College, and Career Connections component.

ELA I, II, & III
Scholars participate in activities aligned to the English I, II, and III ELA/R State Test TEKS and Objectives. English Content Competitions, hands-on activities, and opportunities to enhance their English Skills are part of this CAMP. Activities on topics such as writing, revising & editing, reading comprehension, and author’s purpose make these interactive ELA/R Test Prep CAMPs very exciting for scholars. All these activities are complemented by a High School, College, and Career Connection on the importance of good English Skills.
