Since 2019, College 1st Family Engagement CAMPs have brought students and parents together for an unforgettable experience centered on College, Career, and Life Success.
A Family Engagement CAMP transforms the traditional College 1st CAMP into an experience for the entire family. Parents don't simply attend or watch from the sidelines—they become part of the CAMP.
Parents participate alongside their children in the same hands-on academic enrichment activities, career exploration challenges, competitions, and real-world mentorship experiences. They build. They create. They collaborate. They compete. And, most importantly, they experience firsthand the possibilities their children are discovering for their futures.

Families may find themselves building and launching rockets, investigating a crime scene, designing an architectural structure, exploring health professions, developing a business idea, operating drones and rovers, or taking on another exciting College 1st challenge—together.
Parents receive a College 1st T-shirt, participate in the hands-on activities and mentorship experiences, and have opportunities to win door prizes alongside their children.
The result is something special: parents aren’t simply hearing about what their children learned—they are living the experience with them.
